About the Author

Dalba Castrillon is a Dominican American writer born and raised in New York. She spent the early years of her childhood in her parents homeland of Dominican Republic. Most of her life she lived in Washington Heights (a neighborhood of New York City), currently she resides in Inwood a very diverse eclectic family friendly neighborhood in Northern Manhattan. Dalba worked for a non-profit organization located in downtown Manhattan for many years, then she became an elementary school teacher and eventually she decided to write a novel. Here are some words we shared with the author:
"When did you decide to become an author?"
-"I always knew I wanted to write, at a very young age I began to write short stories and poems, some of which I would pass along to my friends to read. Later in high school I naturally majored in Creative Writing. Writing has come naturally to me."
"Why a romance novel as your first full length book?"
-"In these depressing times I think readers need a little romance and passion to escape the harsh reality that has gripped the United States. I know I'd rather read a book with a happy ending than read something serious and somber, if I wanted that I would just pick up a newspaper or watch the evening news."
"Is there anything you would like to tell your readers"?
-"I just want to thank all of them for their everlasting support and thank them for letting my writing come into their busy lives. I love you guys!"
